· Prepare/evaluate pro forma financial information research complex accounting issues and assist with deal structuring.

· Perform industry and company research. Correlate due diligence findings with client valuations. Manage expectations of service.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

· A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in public accounting or consulting with a minimum of two years in litigation support, business valuation, transaction support, or forensics.

· Certification/license as CPA, CFA, CFE, CMA, CFA, or CIA and valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, AVA, or ASA preferred.

Position Summary:

Within Economic Advisory Services (EAS), Grant Thornton Valuation Services Group (VSG) provides financial advisory services to privately held, and publicly-traded companies. Core service offerings include business, equity, and asset valuations for a variety of purposes such as financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions in domestic and cross border transactions.

Grant Thornton is looking for a Valuation Senior Associate ? Economic Advisory Services ? Consulting to join VSG and take an active role within client valuations. At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional and cutting edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of corporate finance analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize discounted cash flow models, trading and acquisition multiples, and the use of derivatives, binomial, and Monte Carlo simulation models to value tangible and intangible assets in purchase price allocations and equity and debt securities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee and perform data- and document-intensive financial analysis and modeling/projections, strategic analysis, economic and statistical analysis, due diligence, valuation analysis, damage calculations and analysis, forensic accounting procedures, GAAP/GAAS litigation support, industry research, and related investigative assignments.

· Oversee and perform research related to cases as well as document identification, acquisition, and management, and the preparation of demonstratives.

· Write opinion letters and reports.

· Consult on large and complex litigated disputes and provide valuable financial insight and clarity to counsel during all stages of a business dispute

· Oversee and apply business valuation approaches and methods to a variety of tangible and non-tangible assets, including equity valuations, option analyses, and purchase allocations.

· Write articles for various industries, firm, and other publications.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

· 2-4 years of progressive experience in public accounting or consulting with experience in litigation support, business valuation, or forensics.

· Certification/license such as CPA, CFE, CMA, CFA, or CIA and/or valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, AVA, or ASA preferred.

· Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS preferred.

· Highly analytical with expertise in financial analysis and modeling, econometrics, statistics, and regression analysis.

· Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
