Grant Thornton tops Public Accounting Report’s annual audit rankings at Grant Thornton LLP

Grant Thornton recently won Public Accounting Report’s 2008 audit ranking. The distinction marked the first time a non-Big Four firm took the top spot in the report’s annual standings. According to the January 31, 2009 issue, 24 of the Big Four’s departing SEC audit clients chose Grant Thornton in 2008. Much like 2006 and 2007, Grant Thornton had the most success of any other firm transitioning clients from the Big Four.
