CORPORATE ADVISORY & RESTRUCTURING - SENIOR MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services practice assists clients who are in transition and may be financially and/or operationally distressed. Services include turnaround consulting, advising on formal or informal restructurings, bankruptcy planning and process management and advising on other corporate financial matters. By developing, designing and implementing turnaround strategies, we assist companies with improving their operational and financial performance, reorganizing their balance sheet, developing refinancing options and implementing operational changes required to return to profitability. Our role may include evaluation of strategic alternatives, negotiation with various constituents and stakeholders, or communication of a turnaround or recovery plan with third parties. The services provided may include business and strategic planning, cash flow management, Chapter 11 planning and management, plan of reorganization development, asset rationalization, DIP financing, claims management, operational improvements and out-of-court restructuring, among others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
-Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and client service team goals.
-Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.
-Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients.
-Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and to perform restructuring services.
-Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives, and utilize that knowledge on engagements.
-Experience in the areas of financial modeling.
-Experience in restructuring/turnaround work.
-Manage, direct, and monitor client services teams on multiple engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete engagements in a wide variety of industries; and manage to budget.
-Understand and manage firm risk on engagements and proposals.
-Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.
-Work closely with associates and managers to promptly resolve client problems.
-Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development.
-Team with partners and managers on proposals and business development calls.
-Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. -Recruit and retain managers and associates.
-Coach managers and associates in developing and achieving goals and objectives for performance and professional development.
-Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.
-Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA is a plus.
-At least seven + years of progressive restructuring experience in a professional services firm or equivalent with experience in a consulting environment.
-Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
-Strong experience in engagement management in an integrated client service team.
-Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
-Practice development experience is preferred.
-Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
-Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
-Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
-Appropriate professional designations.
