Position Summary:
The Tax Associate for an International Accounting Firm works closely with staff on all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients. The Tax Associate will assist with and learn to conduct preparation of tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and foreign entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare tax returns for S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, not-for-profits, employee benefit plans, and foreign clients.
· Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns
· Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
· Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform tax services.
· Work closely with senior associates and managers to promptly resolve client problems or tax issues encountered in preparation process.
· Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives, and utilize that knowledge on engagements.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting and strong desire to pursue CPA.
· 1 - 2 years of Tax accounting experience with a public accounting firm.
· Strong teamwork and analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
